I wanted to write to say thank for you handling my father’s funeral in the manner in which you did. I know that it is difficult at a time when families suffer loss because of indecisions, etc. However, you handled my Dad’s funeral with compassion, comfort, caring, & humor. You made it seem as if we were the most important clients that you had. I thank you.

When we walked into the funeral home that day we had no idea what we were going to do other than to make certain that my husband’s wishes were met. To try and make decisions when you are in shock is so difficult. You were helpful and kind and really made things somewhat easier than they could have been. 

Different people commented on how nice the service was. Both you and the entire staff were instrumental in making that a reality. I will say again for you – you are meant to do exactly what you’re doing because you are good at it. 

My sister and I are writing this now to express our deep appreciation for the excellent service Nelsen’s provided after our father’s passing (James B. Jones). 

The Nelsen staff anticipated our every need. Their courtesy and expressions of concern were sincere and heartfelt. The CD Nelsen’s developed of the pictures that we provided of our Dad added a special personal touch to the Memorial Service. Several of our friends who did not know our Dad said they felt like they got to know him and the family better after the viewing. 

I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to your staff for the excellent care and service provided following the recent death of my beloved wife. 

Your kind assistance in planning her funeral was a great source of comfort to me. The visitation and funeral services were handled with dignity and excellence. The professionalism displayed by your entire staff was flawless and reflects great credit upon your company and the industry you represent. 

Please accept my deepest thanks and gratitude. Should I need mortuary services in the future, I will most surely look to you for help. 

Thank you so much for making the arrangements for both my Mom’s and my parents’ joint service at Arlington so very special. Your calm and caring demeanor, coupled with your patience and constant flexibility in response to my many requests, were a huge source of comfort to me. 

The service at Nelsen received so very many compliments – it was a fitting tribute in a lovely setting. And everything at Arlington went so beautifully – it was the most moving and reverent experience. I know Mom and Dad were looking down and smiling on us all. 

It’s evident that you have a rich “calling” to do the work you do – and so many families that you touch are so fortunate to have you help them through their journey as they face their loved one’s loss. 

We wanted to thank you for the superior service and professionalism provided to our family. Like most people, we were stressed and upset by the death of our wife and mother, but you helped us immensely because every person on your staff is extremely helpful and kind. Every detail of the funeral and burial went smoothly. You even listened carefully to my concern that the hearse had to navigate a multi-hour traffic situation to Arlington National Cemetery and get there on time for the scheduled ceremony. We appreciated you dealt with this potential problem by being sure the driver left extra early and he was there in plenty of time.

My sincere appreciation goes out to each and every one of you at Nelsen Funeral Home. You saw to my every need with dignity and perfection. Your home is elegant and you ease the pain of a very difficult time. I cannot compliment you enough—nothing was left undone and I am truly grateful.
